The Lake Sunapee area offers a relaxed lifestyle, full of breathtaking scenery, recreational boating, biking, hiking, swimming, fishing, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and maple sugaring. Mount Sunapee Resort is only a 3-minute drive from the cottage. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants, unique shops and a full schedule of cultural events nearby.

The word Sunapee comes from the Algonquian Native American words Soo-Nipi meaning "Wild Goose Waters". Lake Sunapee, a glacial lake, has a maximum depth of 142 feet. Sunapee, NH is the birthplace of Aerosmith's Steven Tyler.
